Layouts
- Single: Single view will fill the entire Virtual Stage with one Presenter's video or the screen share. While using Single, other people can be onstage but the audience won't be able to see them.
- Split: Split view creates a 50/50 speaker view onstage.
- Grid: Grid view allows the audience to see multiple Presenters at the same time and the same size.
- Speaker: Speaker view adds extra focus on whoever is speaking, with the other presenters on the side in the filmstrip.
- PiP: PiP, or Picture in Picture, creates a small video overlay of one of the Presenters.
If you need to make some adjustments to the Layouts, you can select Layouts on the side menu.
You can configure the video size and spacing, and decide whether or not you want to focus on the active speaker by clicking into the Layouts tab. Any changes a Host makes to the stage layout will also change the video for the Presenters and the rest of the audience.
Media Playlist
Media Playlist allows Hosts organize and share videos nd/or pre-recorded content while live on the Virtual Stage, natively to each user.
- Open the Media tab.
- Select Upload Media.
- Choose the file to upload. It must be an MP4 file.
- Once the file is uploaded, select Show on stage.
Note: YouTube and Vimeo links are no longer supported on our Virtual Stage. To share media, please upload MP4 files directly from your device.
Sharing slides
You can also upload your presentation as a PDF and share it natively through the Media Playlist. Slides allow Hosts and Presenters to upload their presentations and share them —no screen share is required.
Customization
Overlays
Text Overlays
Select +Add a new text overlay as Host and add a title and subtitle to display onstage.
Hosts can also select the ellipsis next to any chat message or Q&A question and then Add in overlays to share directly on stage.
Once text is added to the Text Overlays section, just toggle it on and it will appear in the bottom-left corner of the stage for your audience to see. You can delete and edit text overlays at any point.
Note: The overlays are plain text so it will not support links or offer text formatting.
Visual Overlays
A Host can add a static image to the Visual Overlay section to display on screen. This is a great option if you want to display a single image to share your webinar agenda, a technical troubleshooting slide in case of emergencies, an event intermission slide, and more. Hosts and Presenters can be on stage while the visual overlay is enabled, they just will not be seen by the audience. This is a great use case if you want to display a visual overlay as you transition people on and off stage.
Note: The image must be a PNG file, and the image should display a 16:9 aspect ratio across the entire stage.
CTAs
Create banners with customizable titles, subtitles, and links to drive audience action.
Engagement
Chat+ allows you to drive engagement with your audience during the event with tools like Chat, Q&A, and Polls.
Chat
- Event Chat is visible to attendees and is where most of the conversation happens.
- Stage Chat is only visible to Hosts and Presenters. This is a good place to pass messages after your event is live.
- Hosts can bring even more attention to chat messages by adding them as overlays to share on the Virtual Stage. This is a great way to highlight audience insights or make announcements more visible. To add a message as an overlay, select the ellipsis next to the message and click Add in overlays. In the Overlays tab for the event, the message will now appear as a Text Overlay. Toggle Show to share the message with your audience.
Polls
Use Polls to collect audience feedback during the event. Polls can be published immediately or saved ahead of time.
Q&A
The Q&A feature will allow your attendees to ask questions publicly or privately to the Presenters and Hosts on stage.
Chat+ Settings
Enable and disable Chat+ tools in the Settings tab for the event in the Virtual Stage. After saving, changes will go into effect, no need to refresh the page.
Breakout Rooms
Breakout Rooms allow hosts to divide their audience into smaller, more focused discussion groups during a live webinar. This powerful tool is designed to enable customer success teams, event organizers, and educators to foster deeper connections and facilitate more meaningful interactions.
Note: Breakout Rooms cannot be pre-configured before your event.
