How do I edit tags for my guests? Follow
Tags are identifiers for your contacts. What does a name mean to your marketing team? What about sales, or recruiting?
By adding tags to your event contacts, you can segment your email sequencing, on-site identification, and post-event engagement analytics to specific target audiences.
You can create lists from tags, filter by tags in your Guest List, send emails based on tags, and even filter by tags on-site.
You can edit a guest’s tags through a few different ways:
- Uploading a .CSV file of guests with tags
- Editing a contact’s information in the Contacts Manager
- Editing a guest’s information in the Guests tab
- Selecting multiple guests in the Guests Tab
Uploading a .CSV file of guests with tags
If you are uploading a .CSV with your guests’ information, you can include a tags column in your document. Check out this guide for more information on this.
Editing a contact’s information in the Contacts Manager
To edit in the Contacts Manager, go to your Splash dashboard and click on the Contacts tab. Then, click on the contact whose tags you want to edit. In the contact’s window, hit the + sign to add a tag.
Editing a guest’s information in the Guests tab
You can edit an individual guest’s tags right in your guests tab. To do this, Click on a guest’s row to open up the Edit Attendee window. Here, you’ll be able to edit the guest’s tags, contact information, and status; you’ll also be able to add notes about a guest.
Selecting multiple guests in the Guests Tab
If you want to add tags to multiple guests, select the guests you want to edit in your Guests tab. Then, click on the More Actions button that appears on the purple bar at the top of your page. From there, select Add Tags. In the window that appears, type in the name of your tag or tags and hit the enter key on your keyboard. Finally, hit the Save & Exit button.
