The best way to offer guests the option to unsubscribe is to make it a clear and painless process.

When an email recipient clicks the Unsubscribe link in the footer of your Splash emails, they'll be presented with two options:

1. The choice to unsubscribe from future marketing communications* from that event.

Pretty simple, right?

In this scenario, the guest has indicated that they aren't interested in this particular event. Therefore, if you try to email them again from this event page, you won't be able to.

2. The choice to unsubscribe from future marketing communications from that event AND any future event you create as an event owner (Freemium) or as a member of your business's Splash organization (Splash for Business).

In this scenario, the guest has indicated that they no longer wish to receive marketing communications related to any future events you create as a Freemium user. On the Splash for Business side, the guest will now no longer receive communications from any event created within your business's Splash organization - regardless of the event owner!

*We define marketing communication as any email communication other than a confirmation email. This is to ensure that your guest can always receive pertinent information pertaining to their registration for your event (date, time, QR codes, etc.).

As a host, you also have clear visibility into the unsubscribe status of each email recipient through your event's Guest List (RSVP only):

1. Hop into your event's Guest List

2. Select Columns

3. Choose "Unsubscribed"

You'll notice that depending on your guest's choice, this value will update to "This Event" (option #1) or All Events (option #2).
