What tax forms do I have to submit?

The answer to this question depends on your country of citizenship, and the location of your event. Consider the following:

  • If you are a US person, please submit your information on a W-9 form and enter your EIN with your payout method information.
  • If you are NOT a US person, have sold tickets for an event in the US, and have a Taxpayer Identification Number(SSN, EIN, ITIN), please submit your information on a W-8ECI form.
  • If you are NOT a US person, have sold tickets for an event in the US, and do NOT have a Taxpayer Identification Number (SSN, EIN, ITIN), please submit your information on a W-8BEN form.
  • If you are NOT a US person and are selling tickets for an event OUTSIDE of the US, please submit your information on a W-8BEN form. In this situation, the form is for you to certify that your earnings from Splash are not effectively connected with the conduct of a trade or business in the US.
  • If you have a US Taxpayer Identification Number and would like to claim tax treaty benefits, please submit a W-8BEN and include your valid US TIN, as well as completion of Part 2.

Splash is required to collect tax payer information if you process more than 200 ticket orders in a calendar year and make more than $20,000 in gross sales across all your events.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to submit a request at the top of this page.
