Typically, when we talk about “limiting the number of tickets on sale,” it is per type. For example, 30 of Ticket Type A, 50 of Ticket Type B, etc. That’s easy. Refer to our article How do I limit the number of tickets for sale? for the breakdown on how to do that.
Limiting the total number of tickets (i.e., 100 tickets across Type A, Type B, etc.) is a bit more complicated but still possible!
You can limit your total number of tickets sold across all types by altering the event capacity. To do this:
- Select the green Accepting Tickets button at the top of the Splash page.
- Next, on the right of the event settings find the Schedule Registration Status Change options and pick the one at the bottom, Close Ticket Sales At Capacity
- Enter the number of attendees you’d like ticket sales to close after, then Save.
