What is the difference between a domain, subdomain, and directory? Follow
Regular domains are your standard URLs like splashthat.com or splashthat.events.
Subdomains are a unique URL that lives on your purchased domain as an extension in front of your regular domain like support.splashthat.com or blockparty.splashthat.com.
Directories are a unique URL that lives on your purchased domain as an extension at the end of URL like splashthat.com/webinars.
Heads up! If you're using a directory like mycompany.com/events, the root domain mycompany.com must also point to Splash. You probably don't want to point your main company website to Splash (yet!) so we recommend using a subdomain instead.
Setting Up a Vanity URL about how to connect any type of custom domains to your Splash event page with our Enterprise licenses.
If you're starting an events program on Splash, we'd recommend using both a subdomain and directories to auto-create your events to have a custom URL, no additional setup required. Reach out to get it set up!
